To Sir With Love

Higher education by Brentjp99 (missing in action)

When I was in form three I used to watch a movie titled To Sir With Love. It was one of the films
shown weekly at my school since I came from a boarding school or SBP. The theme song was good and meaningful. It was as good as the movie which portrayed a very patient black male teacher teaching at a very naughty and undesciplined co-ed school who after a series of obstacles and long struggle, virtously overcame the students' mischieviousness. In turn, they loved him as their best friend and favourite teacher. Moral of the story: to achieve your goal you must be very patient and steadfast to overcome the obstacles in your way and always have trust in God.

The song goes like this:

TO SIR WITH LOVE

Those school girl days
Of telling tales and biting nails are gone
But in my mind
I know they will still live on and on

But how do you thank someone
Who has taken you
From crayons to perfume
It isn't easy but I'll try..

If you wanted the sky
I would write across the sky in letters
That would soar a thousand feet high
To Sir With Love

The time has come..
For closing books and long last looks must end
And as I leave
I know that I... am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me right from wrong
And weak for strong
That's a lot to learn
What.. what can I give you in return??

If you wanted the moon
I would try to make a start
But I..would rather you
Let me give my heart..
To Sir With Love..!
