The Purpose of My Writings

Bismillah 05 by Rahila's Islamic Graphics.

In The Name Of ALlah, Most Compassionate Most Merciful

It has been a while since I last wrote here in my blog. I love to write but time is not on my side lately. The time I have is only to write some comments while forwarding emails to some egroups that I join. Most of the time, I forwarded them without any addition. Or if I want a topic (tazkirah) to send to my friends and acquaintances, I goo
gle search a topic on Islam and forwarded as it is. My other passions are reading online news and blogs, making new friends and upgrading my IT knowledge.

Some people have been kind enough to send me pictures or graphic emails although I don't really know them. I know they are also Muslims who meant well since the emails are informative, motivational and inspiring to the eyes, mind and soul (like this pic). Sometimes they are just pure entertaining and pressure reliever..!

I like to write things and topics that could remind us of our responsibilities towards God, family and society. I'm not a genius nor a district preacher who graduated in any Islamic studies. My background are business and accounting. In my eyes, I look high and I really salute one who is called a "Protaz", that is someone who is a professional in his or her field such as engineering, business or medicine, but at the same time is a good preacher of Islam, doing 'dakwah'
(spread Islamic knowledge) in the way of Allah. Protaz is an acronym for Professional & Ustaz (professor : Spanish = teacher / murabbi)

Apart from that, I like to observe peoples' conducts and try to identify them if they are in accordance with Islamic ethics and way of life. This is the case if they are Muslims. I don't really look for non-Muslims conducts, but indirectly learnt a lot about them through their comments in some blogs, and also on daily news.

I am not judging people by my mind's standards but by what I learnt from Al Quran and Hadiths, and also from the sahabahs (the Prophet's friends) or peoples' previous experiences. From my own perspective I'd write
in my blog to give reminder or tazkirah to my ownself and others what it should be or should not be according to Islam. I hope I could make some difference in peoples' attitudes and actions, so as to make them better persons. This is what we call 'Islah' in Arabic, which means reform. That is a great dream or ambition, but The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked us to make dakwah continously and to deliver from him although it is just a word. He has bestowed upon us something like a knightship to go and fight in a battle, only that it (dakwah) is a greater responsibility which cannot be taken lightly.

Everyone who claims to be Muslim must do dakwah, as much as he is capable according to his knowledge. One must not wait till he has lots of knowledge to start preaching other people. It is a must or 'fadhu 'ain' on him or her to do so as soon as he knows the knowledge he got is the truth in Islam.

It is good though before doing the dakwah, one acquires knowledge as much as he can, especially the knowledge of 'makrifatuLlah', or knowlegde of identifying Allah, the oneness of ALlah ie. who He is with all His attributes, 99 names and greatness, and what He wants us to do on this earth. Only through dakwah that's carried out with 'hikmah' or wisdom is enjoined in Islam. Dakwah without wisdom will only tarnish the Muslims and the message would be rejected.

In Islam, Allah is viewed as All-Wise (Qur'an 45:37) and messengers are given scripture and wisdom (Qur'an 2:129). Muslims believe that those who reject Islam are rejecting wisdom. "The parable of those who reject Faith is as if one were to shout Like a goat-herd, to things that listen to nothing but calls and cries: Deaf, dumb, and blind, they are void of wisdom." (Qur'an 2:171).

For now, I will end here. InsyaAllah, God willing, I 'd be given more time in the near future to write again, about more good things that Islam enjoins and commands us to do for our own - mankind benefit.
